CECT i68++ Review - Shanzhai Chinese iPhone Lookalike

Sciphone made by CECT makes a fresh appearance with their current run iclone of Apple's iPhone, the I68++. This new variant in the Sciphone's range of Apple replicates features several updates and appriciated hardware upgrades.


The i68++ is a newer version in the Sciphone series. It could be said to be almost the same as the already introduced Sciphone i68+, but due to normal advances in technology as well as easier production, is cablable of being produced and finally sold for cheaper. It, similarly like the hiphone and previous such models, are Chinese manufactured "Shanzhai" (clone) phones that strive to have the primary designed appearance of well known phones and then play with some aspects (very commonly a downgrade in asking price due to less cost component parts, as well as including new functions).

The new Sciphone model i68++ is actually not so bad, being made with unlocked - quad band support, with a colorful icon driven touch screen control, a big and sharp screen resolution, not the worst playback of MP4 and MP3 files, WAP internet browsing, pre-downloaded (and freely uploadable) java applications, as well as ever favorable A2DP and handsfree matching with Bluetooth gizmos.
As for the negatives they include, mobile phone's camera and video cam that regrettably give quite dismal ratings in the MegaPixels and definition dept and sadly not very many selections for your pics, the UI might be said to be a bit hard to get used to, it an miserable lack of no physical keyboard, and very annoyingly, it won't allow you to access the internet at 3G (let alone EDGE) speed or with wifi.

My impression is, this is a ok purchase for a phone that is made in China, if, however, you consider its price at US$73.79 (included with shipping), this option is a cheaper choice than the more high end phones with many of the same features.
